Wayne Shah
Wayne Shah is an accomplished leader with an extensive background in global financial services. His career spans top-tier institutions like Wells Fargo Bank, Wachovia Bank, Bladex, ABN AMRO Bank, and Citicorp/Citibank, where he has held pivotal roles in developing capabilities and managing key businesses.
Currently, Wayne leads the International Banking business for the Caribbean Region at Wells Fargo Bank N.A. his responsibilities include growing market share, revenues and managing all associated risks and relationships.
He initially joined Wells Fargo under Wachovia Bank as the head of Global Payments Services (GPS) for the Americas in 2007.
As a tech savvy banking practitioner, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Clavex LLC, - a Fintech subsidiary of BLADEX, and co-founded a Miami-based Fintech - M-Frontier Inc., that focused on providing customized financial and risk solutions.
Over the years, has contributed significantly to the sector, being called upon multiple times to provide expert testimony to the US House Financial Services Committee on critical matters such as de-risking, international payments, and correspondent banking.
He holds a Juris Masters in Banking Law and Compliance from Florida International University School of Law, complemented by a BA in Environmental Studies focusing on sustainable development.
