Tour to the Emberá Indigenous Village with lunch | USD 145 Per Person
The Emberá Indigenous People Tour is a visit to the Emberá Tusipono community on the banks of the Chagres River.
The trip will take you into the dense jungles of the Chagres, home to the Embera Indians, who have lived there for decades. Our adventure begins with a ride along the river in traditional hand-carved canoes. Arriving at the village you will feel like you have taken a journey through time, as you will be immersed in the cultural dances and music of the Emberá, which have not changed much since Columbus arrived in the 1500s. During our visit, the Embera will give you a glimpse into their mystical rituals and amazing knowledge of medicinal plants and other natural remedies.
The Emberá women are known for making beautiful baskets made of 100% handmade palm leaves dyed with natural dyes.
You will be able to paint your body with the natural fruit dye called Jagua, used by the Indians for body decorations and also for healing purposes. Before returning to civilization, the Indians will offer us a traditional meal of fresh fish and plantains, while you will have the opportunity to buy their beautiful handicrafts. Lunch included.

We travel through Miraflores Lake until we reach the Pedro Miguel Locks where the vessel ascends 9 meters.
